As CEO, Chris Pitaluga insists on an unparalleled commitment to client service across all of Abacus. Chris combines a high-octane level of enthusiasm and energy with the aspiration that excellence is at the core of all that we do.
From the management of wealth to specific product needs, Chris has always put clients first, seeking to serve them with objectivity and in their best interests.
Since Chris joined Abacus in 1995, it has grown from a small general trust company, employing less than 10 people, to one of the leading players in the local market, employing over 60 people with specialist departments serving clients across the globe.
Under Chris’ stewardship, Abacus has become recognised as a service provider of choice to its many hundreds of clients for its professionalism and its reputation for quality.
Chris built the firm’s Private Client and Family Office capability, involving sophisticated structures such as trusts, foundations, private trust companies and purpose trusts, in addition to having a wider remit for new business development for the firm as a whole.
His specialisation in trusts over the years has led to a number of important high net-worth client engagements involving complex multi-jurisdictional structures, on-going involvement with clients and their senior advisers and, in particular, the management of key banking and other professional relationships.
Chris is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (now the London Institute of Banking & Finance) and is a founder member of STEP.
